Tao Wang

Founder of Taoray Wang

Tao Wang launched her namesake brand, Taoray Wang, she brings her collection to a global audience of women who appreciate refined tailoring, sophisticated silhouettes and luxurious fabrics.

After graduating from East China Normal University, Wang Tao trained at Japan Tokyo Mode Gakuen, where she was awarded five international fashion awards. From there, Wang Tao headed the studio for Junko Koshino, the highly acclaimed Japanese designer. Wang Tao was recruited as Chief Designer for a women’s wear brand in London. Recognized for her skills, Wang Tao became Creative Director and CEO for broadcast:bo, a wildly successful Chinese women’s label.

Over the past decade, Wang Tao has grown from an aspiring designer to one of Asia’s most successful female entrepreneurs. Her goal for her namesake brand is to create collections that independent, international women will be drawn to. The collection debuted at New York Fashion Week in September 2014 to accolades from both retailers and media. The Taoray Wang showroom is set to open in 2016 in New York City.

Yu Lan

Founder & Designer of LANYU

Lan Yu studied ballet from the age of five and at the age of six began learning Suzhou embroidery, a type of traditional Chinese embroidery, from her mother. She holds a bachelors degree from Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology and trained at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Her designs often feature a fusion between Chinese traditional artisanship and modern design. Lan Yu’s pieces are regularly featured on celebrity clients at Cannes, Venice, the Tokyo and Berlin Film Festivals, and other red carpet events. Lan Yu is regarded one of Asia’s most Influential designers and owns an impressive list of awards including “China’s Top Ten Designers” by the China Designer Association, “Designer with the Highest Media Attention”, “Asia's Most Influential Designer” at the Asian Fashion Awards, “Most Favored Designer by Superstars” by Cosmopolitan, Forbes China's list of “2014 Forbes China 30 Under 30”.

The designer Lan Yu’s namesake brand, LANYU, started In 2005 in the form of “LANYU Studio” – a design workshop founded by the young design student. Today, LANYU is headquartered in Beijing, China with representatives in Paris, New York, Los Angles and Sydney. While LANYU maintains its focus as a creator of couture, the brand also designs and retails ready to wear, wedding dresses, and fashion accessories.

Cory Cole is Head of Marketing in Ramy Brook and Partner in Creative Playground. He was Founder and Vice President of the social media department at Iconix Brand Group, the second largest licensing company in the world. Cory is a digital marketing enthusiast and brand builder, consistently seeking new and creative ways to share a message or idea.

Founded in 2010 and based in New York City, Ramy Brook is a contemporary womenswear brand designed for a woman by a woman. Through Ramy’s signature use of silk fabrics, lively colors, and sophisticated silhouettes, the collection is meant to be a day-to-night solution in a woman’s wardrobe. Ramy's designs are inspired by the alluring, strong women she has admired through her life who demand a timeless, elegant and versatile wardrobe. Dr. Hanqing Zhou

Co-Founder of Zynni Cashmere

Hanqing Zhou co-founds Zynni Cashmere with Hua Qing. He is SF portfolio analytics director at Freddie Mac and spent his academic career at the School of Economics and Finance of Hong Kong University and UCLA before. Hanqing earned Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University.

Zynni Cashmere is a luxury 100% cashmere brand created by Qing Hua, a London College of Fashion graduate specializing in knitwear design.  Using the best inner Mongolia white-on-white cashmere, and styled in natural elegance,  Qing has created a whirlwind of excitements in the contemporary cashmere design.
