L'ÉCOLE School of Jewelry Arts Opens Its Third Permanent Campus in Shanghai

Founded on the support of the renowned luxury jewelry brand Van Cleef & Arpels, L'ÉCOLE School of Jewelry Arts is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts (“L'ÉCOLE”) started at Place Vendôme, Paris in 2012 and set up its second global campuse at K11 MUSEA, Hong Kong in November 2019. L'ÉCOLE has always been supportive of all kinds of research works through various ways, including establishing partnerships with art galleries and academic institutions to produce publications; creating online teaching video clips and establishing libraries that specialize in books of jewelry arts.
L'ÉCOLE’s partners in culture include Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Comédie-Française and École des MINES ParisTech, as well as Hong Kong’s Liang Yi Museum and Hong Kong Design Institute.
Marie Vallanet-Delhom, President of L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, pointed out: “As we set sights on the next decade, we aim to further cement our commitment in making the knowledge of jewelry and gemstones accessible to all and are excited to extend our footprint further in Asia Pacific. As part of this, we are delighted to announce the opening of our third permanent school in Shanghai.”
Managing Director of L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific, School of Jewelry Arts Élise Gonnet-Pon noted: “After L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific’s setting foot in Hong Kong two years ago, we can see that Shanghai has grown into a contemporary art destination. L’ÉCOLE is excited to play a part in further enhancing the city’s and the region’s transformation to an arts and culture haven.”
Exhibitions will continue to unfold all over the world. ‘Lacloche, Parisian Jewelers, 1892-1967’, the fourth exhibition held in the Hong Kong campus of Asia Pacific, will be extended to May 2022. In addition, the ‘MEN’S RINGS Collection Yves Gastou’ in Tokyo was held from 14 Jan 2022 to 13 March. The exhibits will also be presented in Hong Kong later this year.
Over the past ten years, the various special courses, lectures and exhibitions held by L'ÉCOLE in its permanent campuses in Paris and Hong Kong, in Tokyo, Dubai, New York, Lyon and other cities have attracted over 50,000 students from more than 50 countries. Additionally, 100,000 plus people visited the 18 exhibitions held at different international locations of L’ÉCOLE.
In addition to activities mentioned above, L'ÉCOLE will continue to host live online conversations, gathering experts and explorers, regardless of geographical locations and languages and inviting the public to explore the world of jewelry together.
