FILA: Reached a Wider Audience and Made a Breathrough in the Shoes Business

Since ANTA acquired FILA’s business in China in 2009, it has been expanding the brand’s business in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, and has successively launched FILA KIDS for children and FILA FUSION for young people.

According to the 2021 Mid-term Performance Report of ANTA Group, FILA has achieved RMB 10.827 billion in revenue in the first half of 2021, up 51.4% year-on-year. It accounted for 47.5% of the overall revenue of the Group and continued to be higher than the proportion contributed by the core brand ANTA (46.4%).

At present, FILA offers FILA WHITE, FILA ORIGINALE, FILA MODERN HERITAGE and other product series. It has also launched FILAATHLETICS, a training series targeted at sports enthusiasts.

FILA continues to work with luxury and fashion brands to create co-branded products such as FILA X 3.1Phillip Lim, FILA X MSGM, FILA x LANVIN, and FILA X Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO.

FILA shoes made a breakthrough in the first half of 2021, during which the brand launched FILA x LANVIN, FILA Icona, FILA Mind Blower 2 BOA and more. ANTA Group is confident that shoes will become one of the driving forces for business growth in the future.

FILA KIDS was founded in Mainland China in 2015. During the reporting period, the brand released kids collections for different occasions. During the Dragon Boat Festival, for example, FILA KIDS launched limited edition shoes with a dragon boat theme and instilled exotic elements of Italian art into the traditional Chinese festival. In March, FILA launched FILA x PePe Shimada — comfortable and sporty garments — while encouraging consumers to care for animals.

FILA FUSION opened its first directly-operated store in 2017. During the reporting period, FILA FUSION launched FUSIONHUB and through posts on its public WeChat account explored the latest fashion trends and strengthened the interaction with young consumers.

As of June 30, 2021, FILA has opened a total of 1,979 stores (including FILA KIDS and FILA FUSION) in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore.
