We graduated! Congratulations to Orange Bay University’s first batch students!

Founded by Luxe.Co., the first fashion business and entrepreneurship school in the world, Orange Bay University, celebrated the graduation of its first batch students at Beijing International Trade Center on December 17th, 2017.
Orange Bay University was established in Spring 2017. The unique and pioneering fashion business curriculum integrates international case studies and experience sharing from business leaders, founders and investors. 21 entrepreneurs, senior executives, young designers and finance practitioners in the fields of fashion, accessories, jewelry, beauty care, gourmet, travel and culture and creatives, joined the program and became the first batch students of Orange Bay University.
After an academic year with six rounds of intensive classroom studies, field trips and final project presentation, the first batch students at Orange Bay University completed their program and graduated successfully.
At the graduation ceremony on December 17th, Alicia Yu, the president of Orange Bay University and the founder of Luxe.Co., presented an inspiring opening speech. She expressed that Orange Bay University had accomplished far greater achievement than expected.
"The first batch students at Orange Bay University came from different background and from eight different cities in China. With the same pursuits in the fashion and lifestyle industry, this group of talented and diverse students gathered at the classroom of Orange Bay University. With our dedicated curriculum structure and quality contents, students went through stimulating brain storming and exciting experience sharing. Their achievements are far beyond the expectation of our curriculum. I believe that the impact of this collision is endless, and will assist these students’ career and professional development in the future. We thank you for your trust and support. We wish that all of you will benefit from the ecosystem of Orange Bay University and achieve greater success in the future!" Said Yu.

Orange Bay University’s first batch students commenced their studies on May 26th, 2017 and finished on December 17th, 2017. They have completed six rounds of studies under the guidance of 29 distinguished lecturers in the investment and industry sectors. With the help of the internal academic team of Orange Bay University, students have conducted 60 case studies of global luxury, fashion and lifestyle brands. Among these case studies, seven of them were written by Orange Bay University independently. In addition to case studies, 22 entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders in the field of fashion consumption shared their experiences with students. During the New York Fashion Week in September 2017, some students also joined Orange Bay University to New York, visited the headquarters of well-known American fashion brands, fashion entrepreneur incubators, and watched designer brands’ fashion shows.
At the graduation ceremony, three representatives of the distinguished lecturers at Orange Bay University shared their views on fashion entrepreneurship and investment, respectively. They expressed their congratulations to the students and their blessing to the future of Orange Bay University.

The distinguished lecturer of Orange Bay University and co-founder of Zhen Fund, Qiang Wang also pre-recorded a video for the graduation ceremony. He shared his insights on branding and founders’ skill-sets and knowledge structure, as the final lecture for the first batch students of Orange Bay University.
In addition to presenting the diploma to students, the academic team of Orange Bay University also honored ten outstanding students, three outstanding final projects and the perfect attendance award winner, based on their performance of six rounds of studies and the review of final projects.

At the end of the graduation ceremony, Alicia Yu, the president of Orange Bay University announced the establishment of the Alumni Association of Orange Bay University. Three students from the first batch and two academic leaders were honored as the first members of Alumni Council. They will continue facilitating the communication among alumni of Orange Bay University.

At the cocktail party after the graduation ceremony, the first batch students of Orange Bay University expressed that their studies of fashion business will continue and all alumni will keep in touch with each other, and achieve even bigger success together in the future.

Students were mainly born in the 1980s and originated from different parts of China.
The third batch students of Orange Bay University are scheduled to commence their studies from April, 2018.
